The Zenith Pilot History
The 20th Century was dominated by aeronautics, and Zenith accompanied the history of aviation right from the beginning. When Louis Bleriot completed the first successful crossing of the English Channel by plane in 1909, he was wearing a Zenith watch. The Zenith Pilot Chronograph design is inspired by the timepieces used by such aviation pioneers. The traditional look is powered by the modern equivalent of the jet engine; Zenith's fully in-house El Primero movement. The Zenith Pilot embodies a long-established heritage in aviation watches.
