The Cartier Santos-Dumont Collection

In 1904, shortly after the Wright brother's innovation of the first powered aircraft, the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont encountered the problem of not knowing the time whilst flying. Asking his friend Louis Cartier for help, Cartier obliged and crafted the Santos; the world's first aviation watch. Today, the Santos-Dumont collection still continues to be inspired by the classic refinement of the original Santos, but far from being an aviation collection the series focuses on crafting timepieces of exquisite style and exemplary performance which has produced some of the most stunning watches ever seen.
