The story behind the Bremont U-2
The U-2 is a high altitude reconnaissance aircraft which operates at 70,000 feet, Bremont have built a watch to match this extraordinary feat. The U-2 spy plane is operated by the US Air Force and was previously flown by the Central Intelligence Agency. The Bremont moniker is ‘Tested Beyond Endurance’ and they do not simply test their watches in a laboratory. The U-2 has been designed and tested in conjunction with the U-2 Spy Plane Squadron based at Beale in California. Thus it has continued to function at heights of 100,000 feet and temperatures as low as -40 centigrade.
