Founded by Brothers Nick and Giles English, British company Bremont launched its collection of aviation inspired timepieces in 2007 after 5 years of development. Nick and Giles inherited a passion for aviation, watches and all things mechanical from their father Dr Euan English. An ex-RAF pilot, Euan was active in aviation and the restoration of historic aircraft.
In 1995, Euan sadly died in a plane crash in which Nick broke over 30 bones. The accident provided them with the impetus to create a watch company specialising in mechanical watches. Following a chance meeting with an inspirational French farmer (and ex-pilot) called Antoine Bremont the brand was given its name.
